After holding two successful model Railway
Shows in 1999 and 2001, The Haywood
Permanent Way Model Group was formed
in 2002.
We have several members, and continue to
hold our Model shows every two years. We
have acquired an upstairs room at St Paul’s
Church Hall, Rugeley, where we meet on a
Wednesday evening.
As a group we have members with all
levels of experience, from beginners, to the
more experienced who have been
modelling for several years.
We try to encourage and accommodate all
aspects of Railway Modelling, as much as
space will allow.
At present we are working on a new club
“oo” gauge layout which we envisage will
be ready for our 2011 show.
We are also working on our present “OO”
gauge layout Oldfield Magna, which is
being extended ready for our modelling
show in October 2011.
The group also own a small junior layout
“Seddons Yard” and “Woodhay” a Thomas
style layout which we use at our shows, it
has dual controls to encourage the younger
visitors to become involved in our hobby.
There is also some “N” gauge modelling
carried out within the group.
