The HPW Model Show - 15th and 16th October 2011
Over the weekend of 15th/16th October 2011 we staged our 8th biennial exhibition, the first one being held
in 1997.
We have gained a reputation of being a small but friendly show, and we try to exhibit layouts in all the
popular sizes, and this year was no exception with layouts in 4 gauges from the fantastic “Tiny Town” in “Z”
through “Dock Green Loco” in “O”.
With small members of the public in mind we
also had one of the club layouts featuring a
certain blue tank engines, and friends, where
the young enthusiast (and not so young
ones) could press a few buttons to operate
the trains.

New for this years exhibition was be a
continous audio visual show presented by
Robin Mathams. This was very well attended
and covered all era’s of the UK railways
including a simulation of signalling at
Edinburgh Waverley Station!
As usual, the show proved very popular with a steady stream of visitors throughout both days with and
many stopping on the way way to say how great it was and provide comments such as “..much better than
some of the bigger shows” and “..well worth the journey”.
